Ich muss da mal (neidvoll *hihi, will auch so einen Sound haben) meinen Respekt zum Ausdruck bringen. Aus meinen großen
Cantonboxen kam mir ein wirklich brillianter voller Sound entgegen, der sich hinter anderen sogenannten Profi-Produktionen großer Bands bestimmt nicht verstecken braucht,
von der Qualität der Songs schon mal gar nicht.
Ich habe über FMIW einiges an Bands gesehen und gehört, bei euch stimmt aber alles so perfekt, dass es nur eine Frage von
Zeit und Promotion sein kann bis Meridian richtig durchstartet. FMIW und demnächst FMIW-Records wird euch da gerne supporten wie es unsere Möglichkeiten zulassen. |

Yahoooooo, nun bin auch ich stolzer Besitzer einer echten Meridian-CD.
Also, ich bin ja hin und weg. Als ich die MP3s hörte, da war mir schon klar: Das ist was Besonderes - haben wollen. Mein Glückwunsch zu so einer gelungenen Produktion,
und zwar in jeder Hinsicht. Sowohl die Musik, als auch Aufnahme, Pressung und Druck des Covers, Inlet und Label - alles ist so wie man es von einer professionellen Produktion
erwartet.
Was mich allerdings so richtig zum Staunen brachte war, das die "Küken" in der Band einen so klasse Job abgeliefert haben. Sicher, Du bist (genau wie ich) mit
dieser Musik aufgewachsen. Doch wie kann ein, noch nicht mal 20-jähriger, den Spirit dieser Zeit fühlen um die Musik in dieser Weise spielen/leben zu können. Da ziehe ich doch
glatt den Hut. Das ist wirklich Ehrerbietung an die "Großen" dieser Zeit wie Deep Purple, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Dio, Metallica ...
Eure nächste CD könnt ihr schon mal für mich reservieren.

MERIDIAN - ELEMENTS (PRIVATE RELEASE / MCD´2006) GERMANY
Sometimes strange things happen. Those, who know me, know about me that I hunt all over the world for great new bands of our beloved style. So I wondered a lot as I found a couple
of days ago this local release in an outtake box. Don´t know how long this treasure waits there to reach the needful attention. Even in the store where I couldn´t listen to their songs
I wasn´t sure about their style. Also the interesting styled booklet gave me some information, it is strange that there isn´t any information about the musicans involved. But my inner feeling
didn´t disappoint me. Of luck the back cover contains a minimum of infos and the link to their lovely styled website too. More or less MERIDIAN is the meanproject of MICHAEL HENNIG, beside the work at his own studio.
By the way this disc is of course produced at his NEXUS STUDIO. Together with the other well talented musicans (some of them can look back on a long experience inside the rock circus) the bavarian band convinced me a lot.
TRAIL OF FANTASY opens the reign with a fine brand of melodic rock and slight progressive rock elements. Sometimes the group reminds me on the good old DOMAIN. With JÜRGEN EINZINGER contains the quartett a superb vocalist.
The following melodic metal pearl IT´S OVER is a class of it´s own. Each and every month the leading melodic metal labels bombard us with lot´s of more or less good new releases. But today it´s rare to hear such a good
track as IT´S OVER on one of these publishings. Personally I wish one of their talentscouts would listen to MERIDIAN. But continue with the monumental epos SPREAD YOUR WINGS. For the first part I feel there remembered
on such great bands as JOURNEY and TOTO. During this melodic hymn wins in the follow more and more on intensity impress me there too the emotional guitarwork by MICHAEL HENNIG and TOBIAS RAUSCHER a lot.
DESTINATION NOWHERE didn´t hold the high class of those former brilliant compositions. The solution for this problem is easy. DESTINATION NOWHERE acts for my opinion in a more simple styled biker / boogie edged direction.
This kind of style didn´t represant the class of the band. But I think we could life with this little disturbing aspect because with the final number TIME IS UP returns MERIDIAN to their real destination: Fine melodic slight
Seventies influenced Hard and Heavy Rock with razorsharp guitar arrangements. Followers of this style shouldn´t hesitate to grab immeditaley a copy of this collectable great looking mini album. For more in and outputs

So hurry up ... !!! It seems that the group works meanwhile with full force on their next fullength release. Hopefully the next cover crowns again such a fantastic artwork www.chrike.de but this time together with a bandphoto and the lyrics too.
